Leather shaping is a very accessible hobby and you don't need many tools to get started! For this project I recommend an exacto knife, cutting mat, pencil, rivet setter, and a method for punching holes in leather. If you wish to add textures like I did you'll also need a swivel knife and leather stamps of your choosing.

This pattern can be adapted for use with eva foam! I used about a 5oz leather thickness which is equivalent to 2mm craft foam. Simply glue together instead of riveting.
